Illinois Optometric Assocation

Welcome to the Illinois Optometric Association (IOA) website. The IOA is the "Voice of Optometry" in Illinois. For over a century, the IOA, a not-for-profit, voluntary association of Illinois optometrists, has been dedicated to making optometry a stronger profession doing what it takes for Optometry in Illinois! Organized optometry ensures a voice in legislation that affects the profession and our ability to care for our patients to the fullest extent of our training and licensure. Thank you for visiting our site. Please check out our links or contact us for more information.

CLICK HERE for the two-page legislative accomplishments brochure. For those considering joining the IOA, it details just a few of the legislative benefits provided by the Association. Not listed, but certainly valuable assets are the many quality continuing education classes given, the annual convention, the instant answers to questions on licensing and practice, informative print and electronic communications and assistance from a staff with a combined 30+ years of optometric involvement.

For members, reprints of the legislative accomplishments can be a persuasive tool in recruiting new members. Feel free to download it, or call Lisa Lukaszewski at the IOA (217-525-8012) to have a hard copy mailed or faxed.
